Training Terms and Conditions

Fees

All payments must be received by the day of the course.

Discount on group bookings

We offer a group discount of 10% when:

• one person books onto three or more courses
• three or more people from the same organisation book onto one course

To qualify for the group discount, bookings must be made at the same time.

On the day of the course

Courses commence at 10.00am and finish at 4.30pm, (half-day courses at 1.30). Please arrive by 9.45am to give time for coffee and registration. All training materials are provided, including comprehensive notes. Refreshments and a sandwich lunch are also provided, (one-day courses only). Every effort will be made to meet any individual requirements outlined on your booking form.

Cancellations and refunds

All cancellation notifications must be made in writing 10 working days prior to the course taking place.  If cancellations are received after this time, the full fee remains payable.  Refund requests which give the required period of notice will be subject to a £25 administration fee. Please state in writing to whom the refund cheque should be made. 

Substitutions

If you are unable to attend a course, you may substitute another member of your organisation, provided you confirm this in writing before the day of the course.

Transfers

We can transfer your place onto another Training Day, provided you have already paid for the course, and you inform us in writing no later than ten working days before the course.

Non-attendance

If you are unable to attend a course, and your cancellation falls within the required period of notice due to illness or work pressures, a copy of the training notes can be sent to you on request, provided you have already paid for the course.

Cancellation of courses by Carers UK Training & Consultancy Service.

Carers UK Training & Consultancy Service reserve the right to cancel a training day, or to substitute the trainer. If we cancel a course, you will be given at least ten days notice, and a full refund or the option to transfer, provided you have already paid for the course.

Carers UK cannot refund deposits made on advanced travel or accommodation bookings. Carers UK will not be responsible for any travel claims for courses which we cancel on the day due to circumstances beyond our control, such as trainer illness, adverse weather or industrial action, etc.
